Learning
At Footsteps we strive to develop a love for learning in all the children we have the privellge to care for. We combine caring with education by following the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). We believe that learning should be open ended, creative, stimulating and engaging.
Recent research confirms that the first five years are particularly important for the development of the child's brain, and the first three years are the most critical in shaping the child's brain architecture.
Early experiences provide the base for the brain's organisational development and functioning throughout life. They have a direct impact on how children develop learning skills as well as social and emotional abilities.
We look to broaden your child's learning opportunities through daily outdoor actives, weekly specialised classes and a variety of trips. We have an interactive learning journey where we record and track your child's development.
