Squirrels

At around 2 years old your little one will join the Squirrels.

Your child will be looked after by experienced staff on a 1: 5 child ratio. 

 

Our Footsteps staff will begin to create a structured day with a large choice of learning opportunities including arts and crafts, construction activities, music and rhythm, discovery, creative and messy play - especially in our wonderful art studio.  Squirrels have their very own nursery gym, designed by early years play experts, to ensure children have continuous access to physical development opportunities.

 

We introduce early numeracy and literacy skills and activities designed to develop your child’s communication skills.  We understand the importance of placing a strong focus on developing communication and language skills at this stage, supporting children in developing attention, listening and understanding.

Squirrels, like all of our other little woodland creatures, will spend time outdoors digging, playing in sand and water, collecting natural materials and getting involved with larger scale building projects!
